Travis Kelce didn't consider retirement after his 11th NFL season ended with a third Super Bowl ring, but he might already be lining up a second career for himself.

The Chiefs star is now expected to appear in a pair of upcoming movies, including Adam Sandler's "Happy Gilmore" sequel , and Sandler couldn't be more thrilled to have the All-Pro tight end on board.

"He’s a very nice guy. You guys would love him in real life," Sandler said on 'The Tonight Show.' "What a big, handsome guy. Funny and cool as hell. He’s a stud, and he’s so funny."

NFL fans don't have to look far to get a glimpse of Kelce's booming personality and realize it could make for a job well done on the big screen. Here's a look at Kelce's film and TV timeline, including his new gigs.

    Travis Kelce acting timeline

    Catching Kelce

    Year : 2016

Kelce wasn't necessarily acting in the reality show "Catching Kelce," in which women competed for his affection in a Bachelor-style competition, but the brief series marked his first foray into TV (beyond, of course, playing football on TV every Sunday).

"Catching Kelce" led to a relationship between Kelce and Maya Benberry, but the pair only lasted a few months. Kelce seems to be doing fine in that department now with Taylor Swift.

    Grotesquerie

    Year : 2024

Kelce is set to appear in Ryan Murphy's FX horror series "Grotesquerie," which premieres on Sept. 25. Kelce's role still isn't clear, but he appeared in the series trailer and is listed as an actor for all 10 episodes.

Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity?

    Year : 2024

Kelce is set to host "Are You Smarter Than a Celebrity" on Amazon Prime Video, with the series premiering on Oct. 16. A spinoff of "Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader," the show will allow contestants to receive help from a team of celebrities as they try to answer questions and win prizes.

    Happy Gilmore 2

    Year : TBD

Sandler confirmed that Kelce will be part of "Happy Gilmore 2," though it's unknown whether his role will just be a quick cameo or something larger.

"We have a nice something for Travis," Sandler said on "The Tonight Show" without revealing what he has in store for the Chiefs star.

Kelce previously expressed interest in appearing in the reboot of the 1996 golf comedy, saying he would do "anything" to even have a role as an extra in the film.

    Loose Cannons

    Year : TBD

Kelce is set to take on a lead role in Lionsgate film "Loose Cannons," which hasn't started production yet.

The name of Kelce's character isn't known, but the movie is expected to center on two "loose cannon" police officers who are forced to work together when two precincts merge. Despite no one else wanting to work with them, the two cops are able to tackle cases others can't when they pair up.

    Other projects

Kelce is credited as an executive producer on upcoming film "My Dead Friend Zoe," which is set to be released in November 2024. The film depicts a war veteran and caretaker who sees visions of her friend Zoe, who was killed in combat. Morgan Freeman is part of the film's cast.

Kelce, of course, is also a producer of "New Heights," the podcast he shares with his brother, Jason.

When will Happy Gilmore 2 be released?

There is no release date set for "Happy Gilmore 2," which was first announced in May.

The film is set to begin production in early September, so it won't be released until at least 2025.
