NFL analyst believes Jaguars’ offensive line could draw trade interest

NFL rosters are about to go through some major changes, as the cut-down day to go from 90 players down to the 53-man roster is just days away . With that, we could see a flurry of trade activity, as teams try to get whatever return they can for players they would otherwise cut, and other teams look to fill holes on their team with guys they don’t want to compete with the open market for.

All of that is going to lead to certain position groups drawing interest from teams around the league. One of those groups according to CBS Sports NFL analyst Josh Edwards is the Jacksonville Jaguars offensive line. Edwards recently singled out a handful of position groups across the league he believes will draw trade interest as the season gets closer, and Jacksonville’s offensive line made the cut.

In his analysis of the Jaguars offensive line situation, Edwards is quick to point out that the inclusion of a position group on his list is not necessarily indicative of the strength of that group. Rather, it’s a statement of “teams (potential) interest in the expendable depth that they have accumulated”.

With that caveat, Edwards points to players like Blake Hance , Luke Fortner , Walker Little , and Tyler Shatley who have “valuable experience” in the league and could draw interest from teams looking to bolster their offensive lines. There are a number of teams across the league who have suffered several injuries along the offensive line who could come calling to gauge interest in one or more of these players.

It’s always interesting to see who gets dealt when it comes time for the rosters to trim down. We’re only days away from finding out who’s on the move this year.
