The Kansas City Chiefs have reportedly signed two-time Pro Bowl center Creed Humphrey to a long-term contract extension.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media broke the news Thursday night just as the Chiefs began their final preseason game against the Chicago Bears. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the contract extension is a a four-year, $72 million deal , including $50 million guaranteed.

This contract extension for Humphrey is well-deserved.

Since being selected at the tail end of the second round during the 2021 NFL Draft, Humphrey has become the undisputed anchor of Kansas City's offensive line. He was named to the PFWA All-Rookie Team in 2021, earned Second-Team All-Pro honors in 2022, and has made the Pro Bowl each of his last two seasons.

Over the course of his three-year career, Humphrey has also never missed a single start. Now, he's the highest-paid center in the entire NFL.
