    Cincinnati Bengals roster cuts tracker: Keeping tabs on every 2024 decision

    The Cincinnati Bengals have begun cutting the roster as they work to get down to 53 players before the deadline Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. ET.

    After wrapping up the preseason with a 27-14 loss against the Indianapolis Colts , they have a few extra days to cut the roster down. However, they started relatively early with several roster moves Friday afternoon.

    Keep in mind the different verbiage when a player is let go as well. A released player is a vested veteran— those who have accrued four seasons in the NFL. They immediately become free agents.

    A waived player has not accrued four seasons and must go through waivers. All other teams will have a chance to claim waived players on their 53-man roster by 12:00 p.m. ET on Aug. 28. The Bengals are 18th in the waiver order.
