Josh Allen is the most over-hated player in the NFL

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen gets more hate than any other player in the league, and it isn't particularly close.

In a recent poll, the star quarterback was named the most overrated player by his peers, which only continues the vast over-hating of this absolutely phenomenal football player.

You want to know how "overrated" Josh Allen is? He has three more playoff wins than the guy who has won two MVPs, including a convincing 24-3 win over him the 2020-21 divisional round. If anything, we should have the conversation that Lamar Jackson is overrated, but that's another story for another time.

What else does Allen do to make him "overrated" you may ask? He has the most total touchdowns of anyone in the league since 2020, and he is the only player in history with four consecutive seasons of 40+ total touchdowns .

Of all quarterbacks to play over the last four seasons, Allen has two of the 10 best seasons in terms of passing yards per game while under pressure - Justin Herbert is the only other quarterback to do so. In that span, he has three seasons in the top 20 of all quarterback seasons in touchdown passes - Patrick Mahomes is the only other quarterback with three. He also has three seasons in the top 20 of all quarterback seasons in passing yards in that span - only Mahomes has more with four.

Allen's 137 touchdown passes since 2020 are second-most in the NFL to Mahomes. His 174 total touchdowns since 2020 are the most in the NFL. He led the league in big time throws in 2023 and 2022, and was top five in 2021 and 2020 - he is the only quarterback to rank in the top five in each of the last four seasons.

There are a boat load of other stats that you could point to in defense of Allen. Or you could, you know, what the games and see that alien in 17 destroying everything and everyone in his path.

Any level-headed person that watches the games will tell you Allen is one of the five best players in the world today. Anyone who doesn't is either upset that he beats them every year or spiteful that he isn't on their team helping them win.
