Tom Brady is just showing off at this point.

The former Patriots and Buccaneers quarterback has always been in tip-top shape. Brady was known during his playing career for his rigorous eating habits and lifestyle , but even in retirement, he remains in elite form.

Brady began a personal YouTube channel this summer, posting videos about his latest adventures and antics as he gets set for the 2024 NFL season. It gives fans a behind-the-scenes look on the future Hall of Famer as he navigates life without playing football.

In his latest video, Brady attempted a max bench press for the first time in 18 years. Even at 47 years old, he is still throwing multiple plates on the rack in order to stay in shape.

Brady claimed that he hasn't hit a maximum bench press in 18 years. You can hardly tell given the latest evidence.

The former quarterback talked about weightlifting in his latest YouTube video, which was published Aug. 29. During the clips, it showed Brady getting under a bench press, attempting to put up his best lift possible.

He warmed up with a weight in the 100s before adding on four more plates. He successfully hit a rep at 225 pounds, and then was encouraged to toss on a couple more plates. Brady eventually obliged, adding two more 10-pound weights to increase the bench press to 245 pounds.

It took a couple of attempts and help from a spotter, but Brady hit a successful rep at 245 pounds.

Is Tom Brady coming out of retirement?

While Brady is preparing for the 2024 NFL season, it is as an announcer, not a player. Brady does not appear to have any signs of coming out of retirement to return to the gridiron.

Brady initially retired from the NFL after the 2021 season, only to return 40 days later for a third season with the Buccaneers. A year later in 2022, he announced that he was stepping away from the game "for good" — something that has held up since.

Brady teased fans earlier this offseason about a potential return during one of his other YouTube videos. With the QB & Co. on a boat in Italy, the 47-year-old was seen tossing around a football, doing exercises and enjoying the water.

However, it isn't the actions that caught people's attention, but what Brady said. The future Hall of Famer hinted at staying in shape to potentially challenge the "young bucks" in the league.

"I just want to make sure all those young bucks in the NFL know that if I still wanted to come out of retirement, they still got something to deal with," Brady said.

While fans have gotten their hopes up about another un-retirement, no such announcement has come.

    Tom Brady TV contract

Brady is set to begin his first season as Fox's lead analysis on its top football broadcast team with Kevin Burkhardt.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion received a 10-year, $375 million deal from Fox to become an analyst for NFL games, according to a 2022 report from Andrew Marchand. The reported figure averages out to $37.5 million annually, making Brady one of the media's highest-paid members.
