The New York Giants are reportedly working on a deal to bring back free-agent cornerback Adoree' Jackson.

According to NFL insider Jordan Schultz , the Giants "brought Jackson in for a physical Friday and are underway on a deal to bring him back."

Schultz reported a deal is not yet done, but "the two sides are very interested."

The Giants have an extremely young and inexperienced cornerback room. Second-year defender Deonte Banks is locked into a starting role while rookie Dru Phillips serves as the starting slot defender.

The other boundary corner spot on the depth chart is currently unclear given Cor'Dale Flott's quad injury. Nick McCloud is the other cornerback competing with Flott for that role.

The Giants let Jackson walk into free agency this offseason, and it's clear he never had a market to consider.

However, the Giants need to add depth to the cornerback room, which is one of the roster's biggest question marks.

Jackson has some experience working with new defensive coordinator Shane Bowen, who was the outside linebackers coach during his time with the Tennessee Titans .

In three seasons with the Giants, Jackson appeared in 37 games (36 starts), recording two interceptions and 23 passes defensed.
