ATLANTA - The Georgia Bulldogs began the 2024 season on the right track with a signature win 34-3 over the Clemson Tigers in Atlanta.

The SEC is one of the most difficult conferences with good reason and while teams go through their gauntlets of conference play, the out-of-conference signature wins always seem to be important.

As head coach Kirby Smart said it best "No longer do you have to win every game, but you have to find out when you're going to play."

When the second half began for the Aflac Kickoff Game between the Bulldogs and the Tigers, the Bulldogs were ahead 6-0 thanks to two field goals from Peyton Woodring. The second half began with the Bulldogs receiving the kickoff to begin.

What followed was two consecutive scoring drives to jump out to a 20-3 lead.

The biggest change was the emergence of possibly the next great runner for the Bulldogs in Nate Frazier.

With the suspension of Trevor Etienne and Roderick Robinson out due to surgery the Bulldogs started Branson Robinson. Branson struggled to get going, in the second half head coach Kirby Smart turned to the freshman Frazier who turned in a game-high 84 yards rushing and added a touchdown.

Once the offense found it's groove with Frazier in the backfield, Carson Beck and company continued their assault on Clemson's defense.

Beck finished the day 23 for 33 for 278 yards and two touchdowns. He made a variety of throws to Bulldogs' receivers and made a strong case for the Bulldogs to remain at the top spot in the country.

The defense continued to give the Clemson Tigers fits as they had the Tigers' quarterback on his heels.

With linebacker Jalon Walker leading the team with six tackles and 1.5 sacks. The Bulldogs' defense kept their foot on the gas and continued to close quickly and attack the ball carrier for the Tigers.
