Where Tennessee Titans' 2024 strength of schedule ranks among rest of NFL

After missing out on the playoffs in each of the last two seasons, the Tennessee Titans are hoping to change their fortunes in 2024 under first-year head coach, Brian Callahan.

In order to do so, the Titans are going to have to navigate a tough regular season slate. Per Warren Sharp of Sharp Football Analysis , the Titans have the sixth-most difficult strength of schedule in the NFL. Sharp calculates strength of schedule based on the projected 2024 win totals from Vegas Oddsmakers.

As far as the rest of the AFC South goes, the Houston Texans sport the seventh-hardest schedule, while the Indianapolis Colts and Jacksonville Jaguars own the seventh- and 14th-easiest slates in the league, respectively.

If we take the less-effective approach of calculating strength of schedule based on the 2023 records of Tennessee's 2024 opponents , things look a lot better, with the Titans being tied for the 10th-easiest strength of schedule in the NFL.

Of the Titans' 2024 opponents, five of them — the Green Bay Packers , Miami Dolphins , Buffalo Bills , Detroit Lions and Texans — made the playoffs in 2023, while another three of them — the Jaguars, Colts and Cincinnati Bengals — finished with winning records.

Tennessee will open its 2024 season on the road against No. 1 overall pick Caleb Williams and the Chicago Bears on Sunday, Sept. 8. You can check out the Titans' entire schedule below.
