Packers projected to land intriguing talent in way-too-early mock draft

The Green Bay Packers will kick off action for the 2024 National Football League regular season on Friday against the Philadelphia Eagles.

It should be a great season in Green Bay where the Packers are projected to be among the best teams in the NFC. The Packers surprised some people last year and made it to the playoffs and even earned a win before being knocked out.

Now, the young Packers team has another year under their belt and can do some damage. It's going to be an exciting season for sure in Green Bay, but after the season unsurprisingly the team will add. It's too early to even think about who the Packers could add, but Bleacher Report predicted that the team will draft cornerback Ricardo Hallman from Wisconsin.

"The Green Bay Packers' secondary setup is rather...interesting, to say the least, Bleacher Report said. "The organization has made significant investments in the cornerback position. Yet Eric Stokes didn't have his fifth-year rookie option picked up by the team and will become a free agent after this season, while Jaire Alexander and the coaching staff haven't always been on the same page...

"Even if Alexander and new defensive coordinator Jeff Hafley are simpatico, the Packers are likely looking to replace Stokes next offseason. They won't go far to find a replacement. Wisconsin's Ricardo Hallman has some of the best natural instincts in coverage. Last season, the underclassman led all FBS cornerbacks with seven interceptions. He allowed a 37.4 quarterback rating into his coverage, according to Pro Football Focus."

It would be nice if the Packers could land someone like Hallman, but it's way too early to be thinking about the draft.
