Denver Broncos can expect a call concerning a trade from the Green Bay Packers

During the Week 1 matchup between the Green Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles on Friday night, the Packers suffered what could be a season-altering blow on one of the game's final plays.

Their star quarterback, Jordan Love, was hit during a play and had his leg rolled up on. While official news of any potential injury has yet to come out, this shot of the play does not look good for Love or the Packers.

For the game's final two plays, the Packers had to insert their backup quarterback, Malik Willis, and that was just ugly. Of course, this will lead to speculation that the Packers should look for outside options if Love is going to be out for several games or even the rest of the season.

One of the first teams that should be on that potential list is the Denver Broncos .

Broncos have 3 QBs on the roster, making them a prime trade target for Green Bay

The Packers are a team with high expectations this season, so they will not want to fold up shop after Week 1. However, if they trot out Willis, that's exactly what they'll be doing.

When the Broncos decided to keep three quarterbacks on the 53-man roster, one of the main arguments was that the team would have some attractive trade bait if a team lost its starting quarterback, something that happened all too frequently last season.

This makes either Jarrett Stidham or Zach Wilson prime trade targets for a Packers team that could suddenly be desperate. The fact that the Packers had some joint practices with the Broncos this summer and saw these quarterbacks up close and personal in the preseason makes a potential trade even more likely.

While Stidham or Wilson are not long-term options for the Packers, they are both a big upgrade over Willis and could keep the Packers afloat until Love can return.

It remains to be seen how much time, if any, Love is going to miss. But if it is determined that his injury is going to keep him out long-term, George Paton's phone is going to ring this week and Packers GM Brian Gutekunst will be on the other end.
