    Red Sox will be without star first baseman on Saturday vs. White Sox

    After the Boston Red Sox defeated the Chicago White Sox 3-1 Friday night at Fenway Park, the two teams will meet again on Saturday.

    For the matchup, Boston will send Cooper Criswell while Chicago will counter with Garrett Crochet.

    Here's Alex Cora's lineup for the middle game of the series:

    Criswell has been all right for Boston this season, posting a 4.14 ERA and a 1.32 WHIP while striking out 66 batters in his 22 appearances (16 starts). He tossed four perfect innings in his last outing against the Detroit Tigers. Four White Sox have recorded hits against him - Nicky Lopez (1-for-3), Luis Robert Jr. (1-for-4 with a solo home run), Lenyn Sosa (1-for-3) and Andrew Vaughn (2-for-4).

    Crochet has been good for Chicago in his 28 starts, posting a 3.61 ERA and a 1.07 WHIP while striking out 188 batters (sixth in baseball). He hasn't tossed more than four innings in a game since June. Four Red Sox have recorded hits against him - Rafael Devers (2-for-4 with a walk), Rob Refsnyder (2-for-4), Connor Wong (1-for-3) and Masataka Yoshida (1-for-1 with an RBI).
