The Pittsburgh Steelers have made a pair of roster moves ahead of their Week 1 game against the Atlanta Falcons , with the team elevating one player from the practice squad and placing another on injured reserve.

The Steelers announced they have placed defensive lineman Logan Lee on injured reserve due to a calf injury. Lee did not practice all week before being ruled out on Friday.

The practice squad elevation is wide receiver Ben Skowronek, who was traded from the Los Angeles Rams to the Houston Texans earlier this offseason before ultimately being cut and landing on the Steelers' practice squad.

Pittsburgh already had a shaky situation at wide receiver entering this season, but their depth took another hit after rookie Roman Wilson suffered an ankle injury in training camp and was ruled out for Week 1.

Skowronek's best season came in 2022 with the Rams, when he tallied 39 receptions for 376 yards. The Steelers also have George Pickens, Van Jefferson, Scotty Miller and Calvin Austin at wide receiver.

Lee was a sixth-round pick of the Steelers in April and managed to make his way on to the 53-man roster. Lee has been dealing with his injury for a few weeks now and his placement on injured reserve means he'll miss the first four games.
