Therefore, seeing her set a record in her rookie season in the WNBA just seems and feels on par. So what did the Indiana superstar do now? Well, Caitlin Clark broke the WNBA Rookie single-season three-point record.

Just three minutes into the first quarter, Clark hit a step-back three over Sun guard DiJonai Carrington to hit the milestone. BOOM. But if you watched, you know this game was an absolute nail biter. Super close and tight. But Clark would go on to score 19 points, going 3-for-12 on three-pointers and 7-for-17 on overall field goals.

So then, let the history books be changed; Clark has the most three pointers by a rookie in WNBA history. Caitlin surpasses Rhyne Howard who knocked down 85 threes in 2022. Thanks to this latest matchup against the Connecticut Sun, Clark has now racked up 86 three pointers. And with three weeks of regular season left, she has plenty of time to add on.

Threes are a Caitlin speciality. So it will be fun to watch the numbers continue to increase. Setting the bar higher for any future rookies coming into the league.

Nevertheless, Clark probably could have set this historic milestone with her hands tied behind her back. In college, this is one of the very reasons why swarms of fans packed the house in order to see her. To watch her shoot from DEEP, making it look easier and easier with each bucket.
