Hulu has released the first look at Chad Powers, a new sports comedy starring Glen Powell.

First Look At Glen Powell In Chad Powers

Powell is virtually unrecognizable as Powers, a shamed college football quarterback who disguises himself to walk on for another school’s team.

The logline reads: “When bad behavior nukes hotshot QB Russ Holliday’s (Powell) college career, he disguises himself and walks onto a struggling Southern football team as the talented, affable Chad Powers.”

Chad Powers was co-created by Powell and Loki’s Michael Waldron. Additionally, Powell and Waldron co-wrote the pilot. The series is inspired by Eli Manning’s sketch from the ESPN+ series, Eli’s Places.

“We’re both diehard college football fans,” Powell and Waldron said in a joint statement at the time of the announcement. “When we saw Eli as Chad Powers, we knew that was the way into a big, fun story about this world. We’re excited to be part of this team, and can’t wait to get Chad in the game. Think fast, run fast.”

Who Is Involved In Chad Powers?

Chad Powers’ ensemble includes Perry Mattfeld as Ricky, Frankie A. Rodriguez as Danny, Quentin Plair as Coach Byrd, Wynn Everett as Tricia, and Steve Zahn as Jake Hudson.

Tony Yacenda directed the pilot episode of Chad Powers.

Manning is an executive producer with his brother, Peyton. Additional executive producers include Powell, Waldron, Jamie Horowitz, Ben Brown, and Adam Fasullo. Omaha Productions, ESPN, Anomaly Pictures, and Barnstorm are the production companies for Chad Powers. 20th Television is the studio.
