In the U.S. sports betting industry, the leaders are FanDuel and DraftKings. They are in the top tier of sportsbooks and have been for quite some time. Another successful operator in the iGaming and sports betting industry is BetMGM. Recently, the company released a brand-new technology that will allow them to be the first sports betting app to have a single digital wallet for their Nevada residents. BetMGM is in a partnership with MGM Resorts International and leverages technology from Entain. This makes BetMGM the only legal sportsbook to allow users in Nevada access to their funds in other US states through BetMGM mobile markets. This could set a precedent for other major sportsbooks moving forward.

New sports betting customers in Nevada will have to through the steps and verification to use BetMGM’s mobile betting product. That includes completing registration at one of the nine retail sportsbooks on the Las Vegas strip. They include MGM Grand, Park MGM, Bellagio, ARIA, Cosmopolitan, Mandalay Bay, New York-New York, Luxor, and Excalibur. BetMGM CEO Adam Greenblatt had this to say in a press release.

We’re proud to lead the charge in Nevada with a single account and wallet that simplifies and elevates the betting experience,” said Greenblatt. “Our players can now immerse themselves in the excitement of MGM Resorts’ Las Vegas destinations or statewide while seamlessly continuing to place wagers in other BetMGM markets.”

BetMGM wants to enhance the user’s experience with a single digital wallet

BetMGM creating the shared mobile wallet for their bettors is the newest technology to hit the sports betting scene. It’s a brand-new innovative feature that is set to make their BetMGM mobile app even more seamless. Once the bettor has completed their registration in Nevada, they will have access to a single digital wallet. When users travel to another state and want to wager, all they need to do is open the BetMGM mobile app a pop-up message will ask the user to switch to that US market. Back in February, BetMGM redesigned theirs in Nevada. This featured a broader range of Entain’s Angstrom-powered prop and parlay offerings. Additionally, they fixed the app to have easier digital deposits and withdrawals. If the digital wallet proves to be successful at BetMGM, don’t be surprised to see major U.S sportsbooks like FanDuel and DraftKings add that feature.
