Elizabeth Students Use Dance To Explore Mental Health
ELIZABETH, NJ - Elizabeth middle school students participated in a customized workshop earlier this month where they used dance and art to explore mental health and disabilities. Project BrOKen’s Healing Stage Workshops, created by Union County resident María Daniel, incorporate dance, movement, improvisation, music, props, and expressive art experiences. The students reported feeling less anxious, more self-aware, focused, confident, calm, creative, happier, and more comfortable within themselves.
