Planning Board approves more parking at Costco Wholesale store
The Lawrence Township Planning Board approved an application to add 152 parking spaces to the Costco Wholesale store at 4100 Quakerbridge Road at its June 17 meeting. The new parking spaces will be constructed on vacant land on the north and south sides of the Costco Wholesale entrance driveway on Quakerbridge Road. The new parking spaces will be evenly divided between the new parking lots.

Westfield Coach Named 2024 NJ Boys’ High School Track & Field Coach of the Year
WESTFIELD, NJ — Westfield High School track and field/cross country coach Christopher Tafelski has received national recognition for a second time for his leadership and performance during the 2023-2024 school year, Westfield Public Schools announced Wednesday. Tafelski has been selected by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association as the 2024 Boys’ High School Track and Field Coach of the Year for the state of New Jersey. A man was sentenced to state prison on Friday in a fiery 2023 crash that killed another driver. Ahmadsabir Ashaq, 20, of Edison, was sentenced to five years, with an additional three years of supervised release, the Middlesex County Prosecutor’s Office said in a statement on Tuesday. EAST HANOVER — Another infant has died after being left in a car in New Jersey. Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll said East Hanover Police were called after a 6- month-old girl was noticed inside a vehicle parked in a parking lot on South Ridgedale Avenue at Route 10 in East Hanover around 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 17. She was pronounced dead at a hospital.
