    Chamber seeks Pumpkin Queen Pageant entries

    SPRING HOPE — The deadline for this year’s Pumpkin Queen Pageant is fast approaching.

    According to a Sunday post on the Spring Hope Chamber of Commerce’s Facebook page, contestants for the Miss Pumpkin Queen and Little Miss Pumpkin Queen titles must have applications filed by Aug. 4.

    The entry fee is $150 for Miss Pumpkin Queen contestants (ages 15-18) and $100 for girls 4-6 to compete for the Little Miss crown.

    In order to be eligible, contestants must live in Nash County or attend a Nash County school and meet age group requirements when the celebration begins on Sept. 28.

    On Aug. 18, all contestants must attend a 2 p.m. paperwork meeting at the chamber’s 112 E. Railroad St. office.
