3 Texas gymnasts lead Olympic Trials after night 1

MINNEAPOLIS (KXAN)— Five women will represent USA Gymnastics at the Olympics this summer. And after the first night of the Women’s Olympic Trials, three Texans finished in the top five.
Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles, and Joscelyn Roberson all train at the World Champions Centre in Spring, Texas, and finished first, second and fifth.

Of the top finishers, four are 2020 Tokyo Olympians.
Night 1 began with injuries on vault for Shilese Jones and Kayla DiCello. Jones competed on just bars, while DiCello was sidelined the entirety of the meet.
Night 2 of the Women’s Gymnastics Olympic Trials is on Sunday.
