Hundreds Without Power until Tonight to Replace Utility Poles and Lines
Many Kewanee homes and businesses will be without power today after strong winds knocked down trees and utility poles from the storms last night. Ameren is estimating that power will be restored by 6 PM today. However, approximately 400 customers will remain without power until closer to midnight. Ameren is working as fast as it can to replace utility poles and power lines. The City of Kewanee said they will provide updates as they get them. Neponset remains without power as of 12:20 PM.
