City of Springfield’s new online dashboard to track cited properties

SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — The City of Springfield unveiled a new dashboard that will help track cited properties across the city.

The dashboard will allow for anyone to visually track areas of concern.

In a release, Moving Pillsbury Forward said they are glad to see the new dashboard as they continue striving to improve the entire Pillsbury neighborhood.

A second dashboard will also allow anyone to track buildings labeled unsafe and dangerous.

In the release, a spokesperson for the Pillsbury Project said the dashboards are a new level of public information access that will allow for them to see the status of reported issues as they are prioritized for being addressed.

“Ideally, this allows for city workers to spend less time answering public questions related to tracking and more time in solving issues related to quality of life in neighborhoods,” they added. “We see this as a big step forward in public services efficiency. Thank you, City of Springfield, for this tremendous improvement!”
