    Man hospitalized after shooting in Springfield Thursday morning

    SPRINGFIELD, Ill. (WCIA) — A man was hospitalized after he was shot Thursday morning in Springfield.

    Officials with the Springfield Police Department said the shooting happened in the area of Miller and 5th Streets at 11:31 a.m. ShotSpotter reports were received at that time and when officers responded, they found a man on the ground with multiple gunshot wounds.

    Crime Stoppers seeking tips in Sherman truck theft

    Officials said the man was taken to HSHS St. John’s Hospital for treatment. They did not disclose his age or his condition.
