    Recognize these two? Authorities asking for help as they investigate Monday break-in

    SPRINGFIELD — The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office is asking the public to help identify two suspects involved in an early Monday break-in on Avenue C.

    Deputies responded to the 100 block of Avenue C at 2 a.m. Monday for a reported break-in at an unoccupied commercial building. Video surveillance showed two unknown suspects breaking into and entering the building; one of the suspects appeared to be in possession of a firearm, police said.

    The Calhoun County Sheriff's Office Detective Bureau is assisting in the investigation. Items of evidentiary value were recovered on scene for further investigation and processing, police said. Additionally, the Sheriff's Office is conducting extra patrols in the area to support the ongoing investigation.
