    MSU’s Bogenpohl named freshman All-America

    SPRINGFIELD, Mo–D1 Baseball has named Missouri State slugger Caden Bogenpohl to its freshman All-American team.

    It’s the second such honor for the Jackson, Missouri native since the season ended.

    The National Collegiate Baseball Writers put him on their second team freshman All-American team.

    Bogenpohl earned the accolades.

    He set a Missouri State freshman record with 20 home runs and 54 walks.

    That home run record passed former bear Ryan Howard.

    And those twenty homers this past season was the fourth most among freshman in the country.

    Bogenpohl hit .293 With a 639 slugging percentage and drove in 45 runs.
