SPRINGFIELD, Mo. — Several police vehicles are in west central Springfield as officers try to search a residence following a shots fired call overnight.

A spokesperson for the Springfield Police Department (SPD) said officers responded to the 600 block of S. Nettleton Ave. at around 1 a.m. for a shots fired call. Officers did not find any evidence of shots fired at that time.

Later, at around 5 a.m., SPD received additional information about the earlier shots fired report and returned to the residence.

SPD says two people have been arrested in connection with the overnight calls. No injuries have been reported at this time.

The road has been opened back up. Police will continue to investigate.
