Omaha shooting victim was ‘violent,’ wouldn’t leave shooter’s home, neighbors say
OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - A South Omaha man says he shot and killed a man who was violent and refused leave his home early Tuesday morning. Police arrived at a residence near 51st and Q streets in Omaha around 2:30 a.m. to find 40-year-old Nicholas Gomez inside the house — he’d been shot to death.

Omaha man sentenced to several years in prison for fatal fentanyl distribution case
Omaha, Neb. — An Omaha man has been sentenced for the distribution of fentanyl resulting in death. Patrick Hoshor, 27, was sentenced to 168 months in prison with no parole. According to the United States Attorney Susan Lehr, after Hoshor's release from prison, he will begin a 3-year term of supervised release.
Police provide update about 2 missing women on Grand River
The search for two women who were seen in distress on the Grand River Saturday night continues. Officers with Waterloo Regional Police Service provided an update on the case on Monday near the area where they were reported to have disappeared near King Street E. and River Road E.
