Springfield area high school baseball Class 1 and 2 state sectional results

Here are the results of the Springfield area's Class 1 and 2 state sectional games. Quarterfinal matchups are scheduled for Wednesday. Check MSHAA.org for the latest times and locations.

Norwood 5, Leopold 4 — Class 1 sectional

Cooper Vaughan went 2 for 2 with an RBI and two runs scored. He also threw a complete game while striking out nine, allowing six hits and two earned runs.

Lockwood 3, Exeter 2 — Class 1 sectional

Nikolaus Thieman went 2 for 4 with a run. He also threw two innings, allowing two hits and no earned runs while striking out three.

Wheatland 4, Halfway 1 — Class 1 sectional

Bradley Phillips went 2 for 3 with two RBI.

Galena 4, Marionville 0 — Class 2 sectional

Galena took advantage of a four-run fifth inning and held the Comets to five hits.
