Country Thunder Wisconsin: Everything To Know Before You Go
It's almost time again for the party in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin with 4-days of music and fun at Country Thunder. Tickets are still available to experience dozens of performances from Country Music's best, including Eric Church, Lainey Wilson, Bailey Zimmerman, Koe Wetzel, and Rock Star's Nickelback will join the Country Thunder Wisconsin lineup this year.

The City of Milwaukee will be busy during the Republican National Convention, and some other Wisconsin destinations are expecting new crowds in their towns as well. About an hour south of the main convention, Lake Geneva will be a secondary hub for the RNC, with some delegates taking advantage of our popular summer destination.

Lake Geneva is now without a city administrator. In need of help finding one soon, a city administer recruitment proposal with GovHR/MGT was discussed and voted on at the city council meeting, and with a unanimous vote GovHR/MGT will be providing the services related to an interim city administrator and with the selection of a permanent city administrator.

Lake Geneva’s new Harbor Master Erick Nicia gave his report and introduction at last week’s Piers, Harbors, and Lakefront meeting. Nicia took over the harbor master duties last month as the previous harbor master Steve Russell ended his position on June 17th. Erick graduated from Badger High School in 2013 and lives in Waukesha. He is currently a graduate student of environmental public health at UW Milwaukee. Nicia is a medical sergeant in the Wisconsin Army National Guard. Erick looks forward to meeting and serving the residents of Lake Geneva and creating a safe and inviting lakefront environment.

Alpine Valley announces new date for last weekend's washed-out Noah Kahan show
Noah Kahan's Alpine Valley show last weekend was set to be the "Stick Season" singer's biggest concert yet. Thanks to Mother Nature, it ended up being a big nothing instead, postponing the Saturday night show due to storms. At least fans won't have to wait long for his second attempt at the show, though, as Alpine Valley Music Theatre today announced Kahan's rescheduled date.
McHenry County Subsidized Rideshare Program
McHenry County has now expanded its transportation options for eligible McHenry County residents. MCRide Connect is a new on-demand, user-side subsidy program using transportation network (commonly known as rideshare) companies, like Uber and UZURV, to provide a new affordable transportation option for eligible residents in McHenry County. Through MCRide Connect, any resident with an RTA Free or Reduced Fare Permit can pay the first $4 for any Uber trip within the county, with the county covering up to $20 of any additional cost for the trip.
