OWLS HEAD — The Owls Head Village Library is offering a unique opportunity to view and bid on local artwork. The library, run entirely by volunteers, is hosting an online art auction. In addition to a signed print by Jamie Wyeth, work from other area artists such as Eric Hopkins, Lydia Kaeyer, Bjorn Runquist, and many others are up for bid.

Sandy River Ramblers to Play at Lincoln Home Lobsterbake August 10
The Annual Lobster & More community event returns to The Lincoln Home Saturday, August 10, with a lively five member bluegrass band, The Sandy River Ramblers. The fundraiser will be held 4-7pm under a large tent, rain or shine. Mouthwatering Maine lobsters, barbecue chicken, clams, Damariscotta River oysters, corn on the cob, potato and pasta salads, and delicious blueberry cake will be served. Wine, beer and a soecialty drink will be available for purchase.
Stream thousands of films for free with Rockport Library card
The Rockport Public Library is now offering a new benefit to library cardholders: access to the online streaming platform Kanopy. “Because of the extraordinary fundraising efforts of the Friends of the Rockport Public Library,” says Rockport Library Director Ben Blackmon, in a news release, “our cardholders are now able to watch over 30,000 critically acclaimed films, documentaries, and series for free on their smart TVs, tablets, computers or phones with the Kanopy app.”
