O'Fallon contractor pleads guilty to defrauding clients
ST. CHARLES COUNTY — An O'Fallon contractor has pleaded guilty to defrauding three of his clients and faced a harsh rebuke from a judge. Joseph Restivo, 31, owned Phoenix Construction, a St. Peters-based construction business specializing in small construction jobs such as installing siding and building decks and porches. Restivo said in court on Monday that he became overwhelmed by his business in mid-2021 and had "too few employees to complete the jobs, so I just didn't do them."

ST. CHARLES COUNTY, Mo. (First Alert 4) - A St. Charles County homeowner is accused of shooting a man who mistakenly delivered food to his home. The Probable Cause Statement states that the food delivery driver went to retrieve food he mistakenly delivered to the home of Dwayne Jones on Barbara Place in O’Fallon, Missouri, around 12:25 a.m. on Sunday. SWAT unit used to apprehend man
ELSBERRY – An Elsberry man who has been in jail 14 times made it 15 after a St. Charles County SWAT team arrested him last week for pistol-whipping another man. Darrin Hammer, 40, was arrested on a litany of felony charges including assault, unlawful possession of a firearm, unlawful use of a weapon and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He remains in custody in the Lincoln County Jail on a $250,000 bond.
