Depth And Talent Are Key In The NFC East

While Quarterback and Running back rooms only rely on the top guy, maybe the number two in some circumstances, the receivers are different. There are three of them on the field at a time, and most of the time, even the third guy has a few hundred yards every year. That being said, it's crucial to have elite guys everywhere regarding wideouts. With that said, who in the NFC East has the best wide receiver core?

4: Washington Commanders

The Washington Commanders are a very interesting team. Amongst that interesting team is a wide receiver room that is very "meh." Terry McLaurin is a standout from Ohio State but has been underwhelming recently due to poor quarterback play and injuries. Jahan Dotson is a young receiver with plenty of potential from Penn State, but again, suffers from injuries and poor quarterback play. The third is Luke McCaffrey, brother of 49ers running back Christian, with plenty of potential out of Rice. This room has been underwhelming due to bad quarterbacks, but with new rookie Jayden Daniels, they might be able to rise.

3: New York Giants

This is a wide receiver core that should have New York Giants' fans excited. Wan'Dale Robinson returned and showed flashes last year of excelling as a Deebo Samuel type of player for the Giants. Jalin Hyatt is coming into his second year, and the Biletnikoff Award winner from Tennessee has the potential to be a deep threat. The star, however, is rookie Malik Nabers from LSU.

Nabers is a monster waiting to be unleashed, and after being drafted sixth overall, the Giants hope he can help turn around a less-than-inspiring offense that lost its best player in Saquon Barkley. While Daniel Jones has struggled in his career, he has never had a good receiving core. With talent littered throughout, it's do or die for the Giants quarterback.

2: Dallas Cowboys

Despite having one of the best wide receivers in all football, the Dallas Cowboys do not take first in the division. Ceedee Lamb was spectacular last year as the primary wide receiver for Dallas, catching 135 passes for 1,749 yards and 12 touchdowns. Unfortunately for Cowboy fans, it takes a steep drop after Lamb. While Brandin Cooks is still a valuable receiver with some speed, he is now 30 and will start regressing.

The Cowboys have former USFL MVP KaVontae Turpin on the roster, but he works primarily as a return specialist. While they also have Jalen Tolbert, there isn't much to write home about. Dallas better pay Lamb before it's too late, or this room will get ugly quickly.

1: Philadelphia Eagles

The best receiver room in the NFC East is the Philadelphia Eagles. With star AJ Brown leading the room and one of the best wide receiver twos in the NFL, Devonta Smith, backing him up, it would be hard to argue otherwise. While there is no definitive or elite third receiver, Parris Campbell and Johnny Wilson give some good depth to an elite pairing. The Eagles' weapons have been elite and will likely stay that way, barring an injury or change, so unless there is any injury or change, Philadelphia gets the first spot.
