Depth And Talent Are Key In The NFC North

While Quarterback and Running back rooms only rely on the top guy, maybe the number two in some circumstances, the receivers are different. There are three of them on the field at a time, and most of the time, even the third guy has a few hundred yards every year. That being said, it's crucial to have elite guys everywhere regarding wideouts. With that said, who in the NFC North has the best wide receiver core?

    4: Green Bay Packers

Jordan Love emerged as a franchise quarterback last year and got paid like it. He did that with the help of his incredibly deep receiver room. The Packers have a good mix of young talent to support Love. Christian Watson is a towering 6'4 and a big play waiting to happen. Jayden Reed is a smooth route runner going into his second year, plus Romeo Doubs and Dontayvion Wicks are more than solid receivers who can cause defense problems.

Green Bay is in a division where each team has a star amongst them, while they lack it. While the depth is there, the Packers don't have a true superstar that stands out. Maybe Watson or Reed can become that, but until then, they are fourth.

    3: Minnesota Vikings

This may shock some, but Minnesota had to be third. Despite having the best receiver in the NFL, that being Justin Jefferson, the Vikings room is weak. If this article were written two weeks ago, they'd be second, but after Jordan Addison's arrest and likely incoming suspension of six or more games, this room has been destroyed. Outside of Jefferson, it just now leaves Jalen Nailor and Brandon Powell, who had a combined 32 receptions last year, to fill the void of Addison. Despite an overall weak receiving room, Jefferson is enough of a game-changer that it still gets Minnesota head of Green Bay.

    2: Detroit Lions

Detroit had one of the most high-powered offenses in the NFL last year, which isn't stopping this year. Amon-Ra St Brown returns on a new contract, and after a year where he caught 116 passes for 1,515 yards and ten touchdowns, he has some high expectations. Along with one of the NFL's best wide receivers is Jameson Williams, who has shown promise as an exceptional talent for the Lions. Williams has explosive speed and had a big touchdown in the NFC Championship loss to San Francisco. Expect Williams to take that next step, and this duo will be horrifying this coming season.

    1: Chicago Bears

While last season it was only DJ Moore, the Chicago Bears invested in the receiver room and hope to see it pay off. Moore got a massive four-year extension that will keep him in Chicago, the Los Angeles Chargers traded pro-bowl receiver Keenan Allen to them, and they drafted Washington product Rome Odunze at ninth overall. Chicago gained a three-headed dragon in their receiver room to help their rookie quarterback, Caleb Williams, thrive in the league. With three elite route runners who can get open quickly, the Bears have made it as easy as possible for Williams and given them the best overall room in the NFC North.
