Stamford officials say swastikas were found painted on the AITE High School campus Friday. Officials say they were painted overnight and were discovered just before 7 a.m. when staff reported to work. Mayor Caroline Simmons, Superintendent Dr. Tamu Lucero and Board of Education President Jackie Heftman released the following statement: "We currently have no indication that this hate-filled vandalism was perpetrated by a member of our school community. Regardless, we want to emphatically and clearly state that hate speech, bullying, or the dissemination of any symbols associated with hate are not tolerated in Stamford Public Schools and the City of Stamford. Everyone in our community deserves to be treated with dignity, respect, and acceptance." The incident was reported to Stamford police, who say they are investigating the incident. Anyone with information is asked to contact police. "
