Crozet Volunteer Fire Department offers free stickers to help keep firefighters safe
CROZET, Va. (WVIR) - The Crozet Volunteer Fire Department is rolling out a new program to keep its crew and electric and hybrid vehicle owners safe. “Many times, we get called to a structure fire, the house has a garage, we don’t necessarily know once we arrive what’s in that garage,” said Fire Chief Gary Dillon.
Carver Recreation Center to Host “Roll into the 70s” Adult Skate Night

Carver Recreation Center’s is hosting an Adult Skate Night – “Roll into the 70s” on Saturday, August 10, 2024, from 4:00 – 7:00 PM. An evening of skating to music from the 70s will cost for $5 per person.
UVA Golf’s Duangmanee and Lee named All-America Scholars
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW): Fairfax, VA natives George Duangmanee and Bryan Lee both were named 2024 Cobalt Golf All-America Scholars according to the Golf Coaches Association of America. They earned the distinction thanks to excellence in the classroom to go along with their many achievements on the golf course this past season.
CPD Seeks Assistance Locating Suspects and Vehicle in Holly’s Diner Shooting
CHARLOTTESVILLE, VA (CVILLE RIGHT NOW) – On Tuesday, July 23, at approximately 11:22 p.m., Charlottesville police officers responded to Holly’s Diner at 1221 E Market St for a shooting that had just occurred. One person was struck by gunfire and is expected to recover from non-life-threatening injuries. CPD detectives have continued their investigation into this incident and are seeking to identify the persons of interest in this release.
