Suspect in 2023 Rowlett Triple Shooting Captured in Missouri
On Friday, January 13, 2023, at 9:19 p.m., Rowlett Police officers responded to a shooting at Twin Star Park in Rowlett, Texas. Upon arrival, officers discovered two adults and a 14-year-old girl, all from the same family, with gunshot wounds. They were immediately transported to a local hospital for treatment. The investigation revealed that the incident was not random but stemmed from a prior school fight involving two juveniles. The suspect in the shooting was identified as a 16-year-old male from Rowlett, Texas.

OLATHE, Kan. (KCTV) - The man accused of killing his coworker in a 2021 collision near the FedEx Ground facility in Olathe has been found guilty of second-degree murder. Johnson County District Attorney Stephen Howe says that on Thursday, July 25, Ruben Rodriguez was found guilty of reckless second-degree murder of Dade Smith, 23, a former co-worker at FedEx on 167th St. in Olathe.

Prison for Kansas man in fatal wrong-way interstate crash
JOHNSON COUNTY —A Kansas man is going to prison for a deadly DUI crash. Last week, Judge Thomas K. Ryan sentenced 33-year-old Matthew J. Ryan to almost 10-years in prison, according to the Johnson County District Attorney's office. In May, a jury found him guilty of reckless 2nd degree murder in the wrong-way crash death of Karl Wurtenberger, 42, of Independence, Missouri.
