Reservations open for Byllesby pavilion
Reservations have begun for the newly opened Richard Samuelson Pavilion at Byllesby Park near Cannon Falls. Reservations will be available beginning at 9 a.m. July 22, according to Goodhue County. All reservations must be made two weeks in advance and thus the first reservation is available on Aug. 5. The reservation system will stop accepting 2024 reservations on Oct. 17 for the final date of Oct. 31.
125 years of Three Links history documented for book
Darlene Christensen Pfahning, an Odd Fellows historian, documented much of the history and stories of the orphans to create a memory book. For more than 10 years beginning in the late 1990s, she collected information from the orphans, photos and newspaper clippings. Pfahning lived with her parents on the Odd Fellows Home farm during the 1930s. Her parents met while working at the Home and married in 1929.
