Area towns receive help with water projects
Several area towns will receive drinking water and wastewater funding after projects were approved in Tuesday’s State Water Infrastructure Authority Meeting in Raleigh. NCSU settles legal disagreement with former Poe Hall student, worker
North Carolina State University and a former grad student end employee have resolved a legal dispute related to the Poe Hall shutdown, according to a court filing Friday. NCSU has asked the state Supreme Court to lift a stay in the case. That action would allow a trial judge to throw out an earlier ruling favoring Darren Masier in his legal action against the university.
UNC System announces search committee for new chancellor at NC State
UNC System president Peter Hans did not waste any time in appointing the committee that will recommend a replacement for NC State Chancellor Randy Woodson. Woodson, the longest serving chancellor in the University of North Carolina System, announced on Thursday that he will retire at the end of June of 2025 after 15 years leading the system’s largest university.
