The UNCW baseball team is a No. 2 seed in its NCAA Tournament regional.

The Seahawks will be traveling to the campus of the University of Georgia where they'll face a four-team, double-elimination bracket that runs from May 31-June 3 with a chance to advance to the super regional round the following week. If the team can progress past the tournament's first two rounds, it will earn a spot in the College World Series starting June 14 in Omaha, Nebraska.

UNCW (39-19) earned its second consecutive CAA Tournament title Sunday as it bested Charleston in a come-back thriller. With the CAA title, the Seahawks earned an automatic spot in this year's NCAA Tournament.

"I think the reason this team could (Advance to a super regional) is because I think we're really well balanced," UNCW coach Randy Hood said of his team's outlook this weekend. "We've gotta be consistent and just enjoy it and embrace the moment."

UNCW won its eighth CAA Tournament title over the weekend, going a perfect 3-0. The win pushed UNCW past East Carolina for most CAA titles all time. This spring also marks the first time since the 2018 and 2019 seasons that UNCW will play in an NCAA Tournament in back-to-back years.
