Penn State THON announces 2025 schedule

UNIVERSITY PARK, Pa. (WTAJ) — The annual dance event to fight childhood cancer, THON, has announced its dates for 2025.

THON weekend is scheduled for Feb. 21-23, 2025, at the Bryce Jordan Center on Penn State University’s Park Campus.

On Monday, THON kicked off its 2025 fiscal year, which starts the yearlong fundraising effort for the organization’s sole beneficiary, Four Diamonds. Four Diamonds is a national leader in childhood cancer care, treament and invovative research.

The year-round fundraising efforts lead up to THON weekend, where the community partipate in a no sitting, non sleeping dance marathon. THON is the largest student-run philanthropy in the world and more than 16,500 Penn State students volunteers.

Last year, THON raised a record breaking $16.9 million. Since its inception in 1973, THON has raised more than $236 million to support Four Diamonds.
