College football analyst Paul Finebaum joined ESPN's ‘Get Up’ on Thursday morning to reveal which major college football fanbase is getting "tired" of their head coach.

According to Finebaum, Penn State supporters are growing increasingly frustrated with James Franklin's performance.

Despite a decade of success under Franklin, the team has struggled to make significant strides, particularly against major rivals like Michigan and Ohio State.

Finebaum noted that while Franklin has achieved many victories, he fails to show up when it matters most, evident in his disappointing 4-16 record against Ohio State and Michigan.

This has led many Penn State fans to question whether the program is truly advancing toward greatness.

"You've done a nice job, you haven't done enough," Finebaum shared. “Penn State fans expect excellence. They expect championships. They're getting a little tired of 10-2 seasons."

However, there is a glimmer of hope for Franklin and Penn State according to Finebaum.

The introduction of the 12-team playoff format this season, which includes automatic bids for the five highest-ranked conference champions and seven at-large teams, provides a new opportunity.

This new system means that even if Penn State suffers its usual defeats to top-ranked Michigan and Ohio State, they still have a chance to compete in the playoffs.

"James has got a big break though now, there is now a playoff,” Finebaum said. “So he can blow those games as he usually does and still get to the playoff and get knocked out in the first round."

As the new college football season kicks off with its revamped playoff system, Penn State fans are eagerly hoping for a change. They want more than just another 10-2 season with losses to their biggest rivals.
