City Council Continues to Push to Beautify Area around Carle at the Riverfront
Danville Community Development Administrator Logan Cronk says it was a couple years back that the city made a commitment to take the area around the Carle at the Riverfront project and beautify it. And much of that involves purchasing blighted structures north of Carle at the Riverfront, and then tearing them down to create open space. Two of those purchases were approved by the Danville City Council Tuesday (July 16th) evening. Cronk says this involves the building to the north as you look from Leon’s Diner, and then another one further north.
Coroner rules death of rural Chrisman man a homicide
CHRISMAN – A news release from the Edgar County Coroner’s Office has ruled the death of James H. Lutz a homicide. Lutz, a resident of rural Chrisman, was killed Friday, March 15 after a 2014 Ford F-150 crossed into his lane and struck his vehicle, a 2001 Chevrolet Silverado, head-on. The accident occurred on Illinois State Route 1, just north of 1960th Road.

Couple Behind Hope Center Continuing to Seek their Next Mission
It was at the end of May that the Hope Center’s Nathan and Lauren Lenstra ceased operations in what they had been providing for families in the Fair Oaks Area. Their ministry dated back to 2007.
