Tim Tebow, the former Heisman Trophy winner in 2007 and ever-popular ESPN college football analyst, has ventured into the professional sports ownership arena once again with a minor league hockey team known as the Tahoe Knight Monsters based out of Stateline, Nevada.

The franchise will begin play this fall in the East Coast Hockey League (ECHL), which is the secondary developmental feeder league for the National Hockey League (NHL) with the newly built 4,200-seat Tahoe Blue Event Center serving as the team's home arena.

As the team prepares for its inaugural season, it revealed its jerseys, mascot, and new AHL/NHL affiliation on Tuesday night - partnering with the Vegas Golden Knights.

The franchise partnering with the Nevada-based Vegas Golden Knights keeps the entire hockey developmental system entirely within Nevada, which is ideally the most convenient scenario for all parties involved.

Tebow will serve as partial owner alongside David Hodges, CEO of Hodges Management Group LLC, which owns three auto dealerships and real estate investment firms in Georgia.

The team will be operated by Zawyer Sports & Entertainment, which has managed the ECHL's Jacksonville Icemen and Savannah Ghost Pirates - Tebow has been a minority partner with both franchises.

The team's season opener will be on Oct. 24 against the Jacksonville Icemen at 10:00 pm (ET) from Tahoe Blue Event Center.
