STAUNTON — The organizers of Staunton Jams announced on Facebook that the musical festival is expanding to three events per year.

"Since our successful May festival, we have taken time to reimagine what Staunton Jams looks like to best serve our community, its businesses, artists and performers, and our sponsors," the post read. "Our strategic plan is to hold three festivals per year, with the May JAMS being our main event. Each May, we take over as much of Staunton as we can, bringing the whole city together in musical harmony."

The additional events will be held in September and January, with a Fall Equinox festival scheduled for this Sept. 20-22 in the Wharf District.

Sponsorship packets are now available while vendor applications will open soon, according to the post. The initial lineup for the September festival will be published Friday, Aug. 2 on the organization's Facebook page.

Then, on Jan. 25-26 Staunton Jams will host an indoor processional-style festival focused on Beverley Street. According to the post, attendees will move from one venue to another during the event.
