The Bud Werner Library in Steamboat Springs will present a free stream of a new award-winning documentary exploring climate mysteries tackled by Dr. Lonnie Thompson. The free stream of the film “Canary” can be viewed through a link accessed by library card holders through July 10, according to the library.

Steamboat Springs, CO - The Continental Divide Trail, stretching 3,100 miles from Mexico to Canada along the Continental Divide, is the longest thru-hike in what’s known to hardcore hikers as the “Triple Crown.” It surpasses the Appalachian Trail by 1,000 miles and the Pacific Crest Trail by 500 miles. Steamboat Springs is officially designated a CDT Gateway Community, recognized for not only promoting awareness and stewardship of the trail, but also creating a welcoming environment for its hikers that pass through.
