Man’s Body Found After Jumping From Veterans Bridge
ST. CLOUD (WJON News) -- The Stearns County Sheriff's Office is investigating the death of a man who jumped off Veterans Bridge on Friday. Authorities say the Sheriff's Office along with the St. Cloud Police and Fire Departments responded to the area around the Veterans Bridge at Noon about a report of a man jumping into the Mississippi River.

Farm accident sends man to hospital
On June 8, at 10 a.m., the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a farm accident in Getty Township. The caller advised a man was pinned under a tractor that had rolled over. The Stearns County Sheriff’s Office along with the Sauk Centre Police Department, Sauk Centre Fire/Rescue, Sauk Centre Ambulance and Life Link Air Care were dispatched to the scene.
Brooklyn Center Teen Remembered After Accidental Quarry Drowning
Seventeen-year-old Emmanuel Seward, Jr., of Brooklyn Center was identified as the victim of an accidental drowning at a Waite Park quarry. According to a release from the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, a young man jumped off a 10-foot-high cliff into the water at the Quarry Park and Nature Preserve on Tuesday afternoon. Officers responded to the call shortly after 4 p.m. Searchers found him four hours later in 31 feet of water.
Fire damages roof at Hilltop Restaurant in Paynesville
(Paynesville MN-) Fire damaged the roof of a restaurant in Paynesville Tuesday. The Stearns County Sheriff's Department says at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday they received a call of a building fire at Hilltop Restaurant on Highway 55 in Paynesville Township. It was reported a fire had started on the roof of the building and the occupants were being evacuated.
Fire Destroys Outbuilding in Eden Lake Township Wednesday Morning
(KNSI) — The cause of a fire that consumed an outbuilding at a property in Eden Lake Township Wednesday morning is under investigation. According to the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office, a 911 call came in just after 3:00 a.m. from the homeowner, who said he heard popping noises and saw flames and black smoke coming from the building. When first responders arrived, the 2,500 square foot structure was completely engulfed.
Outbuilding Fire in Eden Lake Township
On Wednesday morning at 3:02, the Stearns County Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call from the homeowner at 16218 County Road 9 in Eden Lake Township who was being woken up to loud popping noises outside their house. They observed flames and black smoke coming from a large outbuilding on their property.
