Seattle, WA (July 19, 2024) – Skanska, a leading global development and construction firm, today announced it has topped out Kaye, its 260,619 square foot, 31-story, multi-family tower located on the 2200 Block of Fourth Ave in Seattle’s Belltown neighborhood. Skanska is both building and developing the residential tower, which includes 6,100 square feet of neighborhood “living room” spaces and ground floor retail. Construction on Kaye began in Winter 2023 and is expected to be completed in 2025.

Pepper Balls Used to Corral Domestic Violence Suspect in Chelan
A Chelan man is in legal hot water after a protracted standoff with authorities. This past Thursday, 40-year-old Judson Biggs was confronted by law enforcement at a residence in the 100 block of Chelan Butte Rd. Police were there to execute an arrest warrant. A few days prior, Biggs had reportedly erupted in violence, choking his girlfriend and kicking her down a flight of stairs. He now faced strangulation charges.

Fatal three-car crash on Highway 26 claims lives of Washington couple
PORTLAND, Ore. (KATU) — Oregon State Police are investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Highway 26 Sunday afternoon. At 1:45 p.m., near milepost 32 on Highway 26, police say a westbound Volkswagen Tiguan, driven by a female juvenile, entered the eastbound lanes for an unknown reason and struck an eastbound BMW 540. The BMW spun into the westbound lanes and was struck by a westbound Tesla 3, driven by 40-year-old Renee Ann Dejarnatt.
