MOLINE (KWQC) - Police are searching for a woman they say stole a handbag, a rug and two pillows from a Marshall’s. Security footage from a Moline Marshall’s shows a woman leaving the store on the Fourth of July. Moline police said she left without paying for merchandise worth about $356. Items included a tan handbag, a rug, two decorative pillows and other items from the men’s department.
Starved Rock Country Community Foundation Backs New Montessori School in Ottawa
Three-to-six-year-old kids in Ottawa are a step closer to getting a jump start on their futures. The Starved Rock Country Community Foundation has announced its plan to sponsor the Trinity Rose Montessori School of Ottawa. The school is scheduled to open in the fall of 2025. It will be led by Suzannah Walter, a veteran teacher of the Montessori approach.

DAVENPORT, Iowa (KWQC) - After late summer flooding, River Drive in Davenport has fully reopened, just in time for the Quad-City Times Bix 7 race weekend. “Great news, River Drive has fully re-opened,” Davenport Public Works posted to Facebook Thursday. “As we recover from flooding and head into Bix weekend, many have also been asking about the status of the traffic circle at the foot of the Government Bridge.”
