After almost 70 years, the Neuhoff Family has exited the Central Illinois broadcast radio industry in a final agreement to sell several radio channels. Neuhoff Family Limited Partnership announced on Monday an agreement between Neuhoff Media LLC in Springfield and Bloomington to sell seven different channels to Woodward Communications, Inc, or WCI.

The City of Morrison is pleased to inform its community, that as the result of its public formal bidding process through Rock River Energy Services Co., the City has selected MC Squared Energy Services, LLC (mc²) to serve eligible residents and small business customers with electric supply services for a 24-month term beginning with the September 2024 ComEd meter read cycle. Rockford-area housing market sets another price record as inventory rises for first time in 3 years
ROCKFORD — Home sale prices in the region set another record high as the inventory of houses on the market increased for the first time in more than three years. The three-month rolling average price of a home sold in Winnebago, Boone and Ogle counties was $210,089 in May, according to the latest data from the NorthWest Illinois Alliance of Realtors. That price is up nearly 60% in five years, and it’s up 12% from May 2023.

2 water mains break in Freeport, neighborhood under boil order
FREEPORT, Ill. (WIFR) - Freeport deals with two water main breaks and a boil water notice Tuesday. City officials notified residents around 8:30 a.m. July 2 about a water main break at the intersection of Galena Avenue and Brewster Avenue. Due to the break, the Water and Sewer Department issued a boil order. The boil order is expected to last 24 to 48 hours after water is restored.
