Birmingham man sentenced in stolen mail scheme
A Birmingham man has been sentenced to 63 months in prison on charges of stolen mail and unlawful possession of U.S. Postal Service (USPS) keys. According to a release from the United States Department of Justice, 27-year-old Derrell Allen Matthews pleaded guilty in February to to conspiracy, paying a bribe to a public official, possession of U.S. Postal Service keys, stolen or reproduced, bank fraud and possession of stolen mail.
